An embedded wallet is a digital wallet that is directly integrated into an application's user interface, rather than being a separate entity like a browser extension or mobile app. This integration allows users to interact with blockchain technologies, sign transactions, and manage their digital assets within the app itself, offering a streamlined and user-friendly experience without the need for external wallet software.

A Smart Wallet or Smart Account works similarly to an Embedded Wallet, but it creates an account that can be used across many applications

This project aims to facilitate the integration of embedded wallets and/or Smart Wallets with Optimism Fractal and the Respect Game, which can be a very helpful way to make it easier for many communities and organizations to enjoy the benefits of the fractal cooperation. Embedded wallets emphasize security and ease of use, offering highly customizable modals, deep web3 integrations, and simple interfaces.

This project is mostly focused on Privy because it’s the first embedded wallet solution that we learned about and it seems to be a great solution, but there are also several other alternatives that could work better and it’s worth considering which solution is best.

Privy.io offers a suite of tools designed to help developers onboard users into the web3 ecosystem. It provides a simple library for adding authentication flows and embedded wallets to applications, aiming to make the process of integrating web3 technologies into apps as straightforward as possible.
Another option that looks very promising is Magic.link. Magic has raised considerably more funding than Privy and is a market leader that works with many large organizations
It’s worth doing the first task to Research Embedded Wallet Solutions and Compare with Privy and Magic to determine if Privy, Magic, or some other solution may be most fitting for Optimism Fractal and other communities playing the Respect Game.
