Optimism Fractal is a community dedicated to fostering collaboration, awarding public good creators, and optimizing governance on the Optimism Superchain.
The Optimism Fractal community hosts weekly events featuring the Respect Game, where you can network with Superchain builders, earn awards for creating public goods, and create the future of governance. The event starts with a brief introductory presentation at 17 UTC and we usually play the Respect Game for about 40 minutes. Here’s how it works:
How to Play the Respect Game
- Forming Groups: Participants are divided into randomized groups of three to six.
- Sharing Contributions: Each player has up to 4 minutes to share their recent contributions to the Optimism, such as creating content, inviting friends, or building software.
- Ranking Contributions: After all presentations, discuss as a group and rank each contribution by helpfulness in Fractalgram. A consensus is needed with at least two-thirds agreement on the rankings for all participants in the group earn Respect.
- Signaling Consensus: When consensus on rankings is reached, follow the instructions in Fractalgram to submit consensus results onchain.
- Earning Respect: Respect points are awarded based on rankings. The top contributor gets 55 Respect, second gets 34, down to the sixth place earning 5 Respect.
- Repeat Participation: The game is played regularly, allowing members to update their contributions and earn more respect. Respect accumulates over time and is not transferable
