Hey everyone!

I wanted to share an important governance proposal that affects how we coordinate Optimism Town Hall events going forward. The Optimism Fractal Council has just approved a proposal to implement a minimum vote threshold for triggering Town Hall events, which will take effect immediately.

Starting now, Optimism Town Hall will be held when a topic proposal receives at least 2,000 Optimism Fractal respect votes by Monday at 17:00 UTC. This evolution in our Cagendas system ensures we're allocating our community resources where they create the most impact, while maintaining the democratic nature of topic selection. Optimism Fractal events will continue on their regular biweekly schedule regardless of whether Town Hall is triggered.

This change allows teams like the Optimystics and Eden Creators to focus efforts more sustainably across our growing ecosystem and maximize impact for all stakeholders. When the community demonstrates strong interest in a topic through voting, we plan to continue hosting Optimism Town Hall events and producing high-quality educational content. When voting is lower, those resources can support other critical initiatives like Eden Fractal Epoch 2 and expanding our governance tools.

I encourage everyone to read the full proposal for comprehensive details about the updated Cagendas rules, strategic rationale, governance context, and how this change serves both the Optimism Fractal community and broader Collective. The proposal also explains why the Optimism Fractal Council was the appropriate body to make this decision and how their guidance helps us balance service to multiple stakeholder groups across the Superchain. You can also watch the discussions from our 38th and 39th Optimism Town Hall events to better understand the full context behind this decision.

I'm excited about this evolution in our coordination systems and believe it will help us make an even more positive impact as a community. Special thanks to everyone who provided feedback on this proposal over the past couple months. Looking forward to hearing any thoughts you might have about these changes and seeing everyone at today’s Optimism Fractal event!
