“I’m not sure how it would be validated or evaluated… maybe by the attendance of the meeting? Maybe from an oracle like a rank choice vote from all verified humans in the Optimism Collective? There’s a lot of onchain data already to form proof of unique human in the Optimism Collective. We could include attestations as a Optimism Fractal participant, badgeholders, retropgf applicants, worldcoin participants, Gitcoin passport holders, and KYC’d coinbase customers. I think all of these have onchain attestations now and collectively there are millions of verified humans in the Superchain. It might be helpful for us to use the Ethereum Attestation service as the layer to create this kind of proof of humanity as it has a lot of adoption and is already working with coinbase and the optimism foundation. There’s also a lot of tooling to vote and potentially give different voting weights depending on different attestations, so this kind of voting might now be possible to do now and this kind of subjective voting from humans could be helpful for many kinds of mission requests… 3a. We could also use JokeRace as the ranked choice voting platform, which is open source and works quite well. Ranked choice voting seems like the best choice as I think it’s generally superior to multiple choice voting. 3b. Another option would be to distribution the earnings from the mission request to participants based on their respect scores in the meetings. This could be very interesting… Another interesting thing to consider with this is whether the Optimism Foundation (or some other KYC as a service provider) would be able to fund a lot of people participating in the events.”
