Introduction
57:49 Fede introduces himself as a head of developers at Mode network, which is part of the Superchain. Fede was referred by Deez who’s the head of growth at Mode. Fede gives feedback about the Respect Game where initially he didn’t had any context on what to expect prior to joining, but now he has context and he thinks it is pretty cool
So my whole name is Federico, so Fed is the short name. I'm head of Mode Network. I hope you know it. We're part of the Superchain, focused on DeFi. We want to be the DeFi hub for the Superchain. I just joined because Deez actually invited me. He told me he was here a few times. Without any context, but thanks to Rosmari, I got some context now and I think this is pretty cool. So my number one mission in this world is to bring new developers, help them as much as we can. I don't know what that entails, but I'll do it. Just bringing developers to Superchain. It seems cool. If you need anything dev-related or Mode, just let me know please. Always open to nice conversations.
Optimism Town Hall Feedback
1:16:05 Fede thanks Dan and Rosmari, he’s learned so much in short time. He expands on contact info he’s had with Lyra, head of development marketing.
That's awesome. You've already helped me so much and I've only joined for like 40 minutes! Thank you for the information, the guidance, and everything!
That's awesome. You've already helped me so much and I've only joined for like 40 minutes! I'm close to OP folks with Mark Tyneway and everyone, but it's hard to navigate the OP ecosystem. There are so many things happening at the same time and so many different things that we can be helping here. I'm actually working with Lyra. Her name is Valentina. She just joined like two months ago as head of developer marketing. I was talking with the group earlier that I want to run a kind of developer bootcamp for Web2 to Web3 devs for the Superchain. We ran one for Mode and got like 38 developers. The problem is I don't have a place or anything to do for 38 developers just coming into Web3. I can point them towards a hackathon, I can point them towards a few things that we want to build, I can take a few as ambassadors, but 38 freshly new developers - it's hard to motivate all of them to stay on Mode. But if we do a Superchain bootcamp and they have the chance to go to Zora, they have the chance to go to Coinbase and all of the things, and even Optimism for the mission requests and stuff that we're doing here, that's another thing. So yeah, that's kind of the motivation and a few things that we're going to try and do. Thank you for the information, the guidance, and everything! I'll have a lot of work to do to just chase a lot of people and connections.
Outcome
After receiving this tip at the Optimism Town Hall, CryptoFede and his Mode teammates went on to create a mission proposal for the Superchain Grants Program. The Mode team was rewarded with 1 million OP tokens. CryptoFede thanked the Optimism RetroPGF community for informing him about the Grants Council call, which he joined shortly after. During the call, he asked questions and helped his team learn how to apply for the grant.
